I’ve always enjoyed arts and crafts. On the weekends I try to spend some time painting. A long time ago I took sculpting lessons, but ever since the kids it’s been hard to keep it up. I also like to do scrap-booking with my friends to share our memories. I hope my kids will appreciate these books later on.
A couple of years ago I was on a tight budget and was trying to think of some creative gift ideas. After doing some internet research I came up with the idea of doing customized gift baskets for all of my friends and family. It can be quite cost effective and the recipient is always impressed with getting a huge basket full of all their favorite things. A year later I noticed one of my friends was doing a blog about personal finance which got me thinking, maybe I could do my own blog about gift baskets?
So I got some help from a family friend who understands the technology behind blogging and he set up this site for me. I’ve learned a lot over the last couple years. I hope my guide to making your own gift basket is helpful. If you ever have any new gift basket ideas please share them. It can be time-consuming to make a custom gift basket and if someone isn’t local, it is costly to ship. So I started doing reviews of some of my favorite gift baskets that I’ve purchased in the past. Please jump in and share your own thoughts if you’ve purchase these baskets. Or if you have others you really like let me know and I’ll add them.
